Managing Director
Garnett Decosimo began his career as a CPA with KPMG in Atlanta, providing audit services to commercial clients, including Fortune 100 manufacturing and retail companies. He later transitioned to public policy, serving on the staffs of U.S. Senators Bob Corker (TN) and Mike Enzi (WY). During his time in the Senate, Garnett led negotiations of the reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act and served as a Professional Staff Member on Senator Enzi’s Subcommittee on Primary Health and Retirement, where he worked on retirement policy provisions ultimately included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
Garnett returned to Tennessee to serve in the Office of Governor Bill Lee, first as a Senior Policy Analyst and later as Director of Federal Relations. As the Governor’s lead healthcare policy staffer, he organized a statewide healthcare listening tour and developed the Tennessee Rural Hospital Readiness Program, which provided emergency liquidity to rural hospitals during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. As Director of Federal Relations, he led the state’s federal policy agenda and supported the Governor in leadership roles with the Council of Governors, National Governors Association, and Republican Governors Association.
