Vicki Wormsley is a tax manager of the Chattanooga office of Decosimo and specializes in real estate taxation. She has an excellent perspective on the industry, with more than 25 years experience in public accounting and private industry.  

Vicki has specialized real estate tax experience and provides proactive services to real estate investment and management firms which focus on the acquisition, financing, management, and disposition of quality apartment communities, shopping centers and senior housing properties.  Her clients’ management portfolios exceed $2.4 billion in value and include more than 30,000 apartments, senior living communities, and in excess of 4.6 million square feet of retail and office property in over 70 locations throughout the Southeast.

Vicki uses this depth of real estate experience to provide land developers, property managers and fund to fund entities valuable tax research and compliance. In recent years, she has managed real estate acquisition transactions, Section 1031 exchanges, REIT rollups, mortgage loan refinancing and Tenant in Common arrangements for large scale real estate projects.

Vicki received her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate in 1987 after obtaining her Masters’ Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in May, 1979. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). She is also an active member of Chattanooga Tax Practitioners.
