Mike Vaden, a principal with Decosimo Certified Public Accountants, serves as the director of the firm's entertainment and family office/business management practice, Decosimo/Vaden, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Primarily serving privately owned businesses and individuals, Mike has continuously worked in public accounting providing tax planning and compliance, investment analysis, asset valuation and business management/family office services. Mike has significant experience with complex tax transactions, estate planning, design of accounting systems and many other issues that present challenges for high-net-worth clients. He collaborates with his clients' lawyers, bankers and other advisors to solve the unique needs of his clients.

Overseeing the preparation of over 130 general ledgers/financials each month for clients across a broad spectrum of businesses and having 35 years experience with privately owned businesses gives Mike and his staff unquestionable expertise in the area of family office/business management operations. Services include insurance analysis (life, health, property & casualty, etc.), estate planning, budget analysis, financial statement overview, income forecast and collection, bill paying and investment analysis.

Earlier in his career, Mike spent 15 years with a Big Four accounting firm in Nashville, working with their audit team. Initially, he was in charge of various SEC client engagements and later headed the privately owned business practice specializing in the setup of accounting systems and tax planning for individuals, LLCs and S Corps.

Mike serves on the board of directors of the Country Music Association and the Nashville Songwriters Foundation. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). An alumnus of Nashville's Leadership Music Program, Mike consistently makes Nashville Post's "InCharge" listing recognizing him as "the premier music accountant" because of his leadership and knowledge of the industry.

Mike is a U.S. Army Veteran and graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business. He enjoys maintaining a family cattle ranch in Franklin, Tennessee.
