Richard Stooksbury has been actively involved in the healthcare industry for over thirty-five years. His career began as a CPA with Ernst & Young specializing in services to the healthcare community. He served as a Chief Financial Officer in a large regional hospital system, as well as an Executive Vice President and CFO to a billion-dollar healthcare system.  

His experiences include executive responsibilities for a large managed-care organization, a physician management company and strategic planning for an integrated delivery system. Richard served as a principal in The McDonald Group, LLC, a healthcare consulting practice located in Knoxville, Tennessee.  

In January 2003, The McDonald Group was merged into FIS Associates, Inc., a consulting and accounting firm advising the medical community. Richard joined Decosimo in 2006 when FIS Associates merged with the regional firm. His clients include hospitals, physician groups, a national practice management company and other healthcare related entities.  

Richard received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and his Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. Richard has also served on the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Healthcare Conference Committee for the past 10 years.
