Bill Russell is a Tax Principal with an emphasis in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, accounting methods, international, pass-through entities, e-commerce and high-net-worth individuals.

Over his 32 year career, Bill has participated in merger and acquisitions exceeding $1 billion in value. In 2009, he worked on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $200 million.

Working with numerous venture capital clients, Bill is familiar with the issues in structuring the investment partnership, as well as the issues involving the portfolio entities and their choice of entity decisions.

In addition to his role with Decosimo, Bill is a director of Glenveigh Pharmaceuticals, LLC and Subsidiaries, a science and technology-based company focused on advancing obstetrics care.

Bill is a member of several professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, and the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga. He is a member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Tennessee Taxation Committee and Treasurer of BOTA Foundation.
