Elizabeth Powell has served as a tax accountant for twenty-six years, twenty-three of which have been with Decosimo.

Elizabeth is Decosimo’s primary tax manager in providing quality control review for tax services to investment entities including hedge funds, offshore funds, private equity groups, mezzanine funds and venture capital funds. She specializes in federal, state and local tax compliance preparation and review, as well as partnership consulting regarding transaction/entity structures, partnership/operating agreements, partnership tax allocation and accounting for uncertainty in income taxes.

She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Tennessee and Georgia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) as well as the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners.

Elizabeth is active with the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Chattanooga. She is an advisory board member and financial advisor for the Delta Zeta Sorority Pi Lambda Chapter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
