Charles Hendry was the Managing Principal of Decosimo until his retirement in 2008. Formerly known as Hendry & Bailey, PC. and later Hendry & Decosimo, Charles merged his practice with Decosimo in 1988. Today the Dalton office of Decosimo is one of the leading financial advisory firms in North Georgia.

He provides audit/assurance, tax and management assistance services to all types of companies within the textile industry, with other concentrations in the fields of medical practice, estates and trusts.

Decosimo’s clients include major textile mills with annual sales in excess of one billion dollars.

Charles is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Estate Planning Council and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). He is a past president of both the GSCPA and the Educational Foundation of the GSCPA.

He is Trustee Emeritus for the Georgia Federal Tax Conference, a Life Associate of the Whitfield Healthcare foundation, a trustee of the Dalton State College Foundation, a trustee of Hamilton Healthcare System, the chairman of the Dalton Housing Authority and a past treasurer of the Dalton-Whitfield County Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as lieutenant governor for the 11th Division of Kiwanis International and is a past president of the Carpet City Rotary Club.

Charles received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1961 and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1962. He is a CPA in the states of Georgia and Tennessee.
