Sharon Hamrick currently serves as senior manager for manufacturing, construction and service clients with annual revenues of approximately $170,000,000. She provides clients with experience in internal control systems and procedures, cash flow analysis and contractors‘ licensing filings and issues.

The majority of Sharon’s time is devoted to the practice areas of commercial litigation support, consulting and forensic accounting. Sharon has extensive experience in financial analysis and preparation of expert reports for state and federal courts, especially related to litigation involving contract disputes, breach of contract, manufacturing and supply disputes, wrongful termination, personal injury and wrongful death. She has provided litigation consultation services to both plaintiff and defendant attorneys in these matters.

Another area of Sharon’s expertise involves forensic accounting matters, especially relating to the deterrence and investigation of suspicions of corporate fraud. Sharon has proved internal control assessments and suggested improvements for strengthening those controls, especially to not-for-profit organizations. She has investigated allegations of fraud in numerous businesses including manufacturing, check-cashing and medical practices.

Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and regularly attends the AICPA’s National Forensic Accounting Conference, as well as other seminars and conferences related exclusively to fraud prevention and investigation. She is also a member AICPA’s Business Valuation and Forensic Litigation Services Section, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Sharon has made presentations on fraud prevention and risk assessment and has written articles on these topics for Decosimo Advisory Review.

She has served on boards of directors of various not-for-profit organizations in Chattanooga, most recently serving as the Board Chair for the Girl Scouts of Moccasin Bend Council and co-chair of the Realignment Committee councils of East Tennessee. She is Treasurer of the vestry of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church and has served previously as both Junior Warden and Senior Warden of the vestry.
