Jennifer Goodman is an assurance principal with more than 15 years experience in public accounting. She provides audit and assurance services, including audits of internal control over financial reporting, to privately held businesses, public companies and not-for-profit organizations.

Jennifer serves manufacturing and distribution clients with annual revenues approximating $1.8 billion. She contributes to the firm’s manufacturing and distribution team by providing cost accounting expertise, insights into best practices and specialized advice regarding internal control issues for companies in the baked foods, industrial machinery and apparel industries.

Her experience includes not-for-profit entities, where she specializes in educational institutions and health and welfare organizations. She currently oversees 10 not-for-profit clients ranging in size from $300,000 to $61 million in annual revenue. She regularly attends the AICPA National Not-for-Profit Industry Conference. Her ability to communicate the results of complex audits, offer best practices recommendations and maintain a current knowledge of compliance regulations is an asset to her clients.

Jennifer’s public company experience includes financial statement audits, audits of internal control over financial reporting and limited scope consulting engagements for foreign firms performing assurance engagements for foreign SEC filers.

Her community outreach has included board of director and audit committee service for numerous not-for-profit organizations and governments. She currently serves as a director for Friends of the Festival and on the Girl Scouts Council of Southern Appalachians board of directors. 

. This experience has provided Jennifer with oversight and governance skills, which aid her in being an advisor to her not-for-profit clients.

Jennifer is a graduate of The Leadership Academy, a two-year leadership program, and The Rainmaker Academy, a two-year business development program. She uses the skills she acquired at The Leadership Academy to contribute to the firm’s practice development, including the business development committee and the accounting and auditing research team.
