Jerry V. Adams, CPA, AEP
Senior Principal

Jerry, Senior Principal and co-founder of the firm, is a business and tax adviser and a family business consultant. He is an accredited estate planner (AEP).

Mr. Adams received his CPA certificate in 1967 after graduating from the University of Tennessee and is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Ohio. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs, a past president of the Chattanooga chapter of the TSCPA, a member of the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council and Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, and an associate of Family Business Partners.

Through 2002, Mr. Adams was Managing Principal, and was head of the audit practice from 1971 to 1982. He is a consultant to businesses in various industries and to high net worth families. He has several published articles in newspapers and professional reference sources.

A Chattanooga native, Mr. Adams is an active community leader, including 1996 chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, and a recipient of several awards, including the 1999 Public Service Award presented by the Tennessee Society of CPAs. He is currently chairman of the University of Chattanooga Foundation, treasurer of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society, a member of the executive committee of Bibles in the Schools, chairman of the executive committee of the Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes, and treasurer of Rotary International District 6780.
