Lucinda Dunbar, an accomplished CPA and manager with Decosimo’s Cincinnati office, possesses a comprehensive background of accounting and financial qualifications. Lucinda returned to public accounting in 2008 after spending two decades in industry accounting.  

During her 20 years with one of the nation’s top homebuilders, she served first as controller before becoming CFO. Lucinda was instrumental in the company’s growth from 40 associates to more than 300 associates. This growth involved policy and procedure creation, development of accounting systems, work flows and financial controls, cash management, financial planning forecasting, and the implementation of three computer systems over two decades.

Lucinda has provided construction project oversight for financing and actual cost-to-budget control purposes on the following types of projects: 

• Commercial – office complex, warehouse, strip mall (retail, office and warehouse)
• Residential – apartment communities, condominiums, town houses, duplexes, single-family
• Infrastructure – sewer lift station

Her experience also includes the preparation and review of income tax returns, as well as tax planning and retirement plan compliance.

Lucinda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Indiana CPA Society. She is a graduate of Indiana State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
