Joe Decosimo is senior principal emeritus and one of the firm’s three founding principals. Joe’s vast business experience is closely tied to capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, financial asset management, and the placement of debt and equity financing. He played an active role in many of the firm’s corporate finance engagements. He serves on the Board of Advisors for Decosimo Corporate Finance, LLC (DCF), a mid-market investment bank specializing in sell-side advisory, which is a member firm of FINRA(Financial Industry Regulatory Authority)/SIPC.

He has been a force in giving guidance and financial assistance to some of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs. He has held key board positions with several Fortune 500 companies, and financiers and industrialists nationwide seek his wisdom and business acumen.

One of Joe’s proudest accomplishments is having led the investment committee of one of the nation’s largest Christian foundations. Over twenty years, the foundation’s value increased by more than 300 percent, while it distributed as much of its growth as it retained.

He served as senior principal of the accounting firm which bears his name, a regional firm that has grown to be in the top 50 in the nation, for more than thirty years.

Joe’s civic involvement has included the chairmanship role of numerous organizations. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University after serving in the United States Navy during WWII.
