Jerry Adams is a certified public accountant (CPA) and one of the firm’s three founding principals. He is a business consultant, a tax adviser, a family business counselor, an accredited estate planner (AEP), and a chartered global management accountant (CGMA).
Through 2002, Jerry was managing principal of the firm and became senior principal in 2003. He now serves as a consultant to businesses in various industries and to high net-worth families. He has written several articles published in newspapers and professional reference sources.
A Chattanooga native, Jerry is an active community leader, having served as chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Chattanooga United Way Campaign, chairman of the University of Chattanooga Foundation, and the president of the Chattanooga Rotary Club. He is also a longtime member of the Bible in the Schools Board, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, and the Boy Scouts Council.
He is a recipient of several awards, including the Rotary International Service Above Self Award (2010), the Kiwanis Distinguished Service Award (2006), and the Public Service Award presented by the TSCPA (1999).
Jerry graduated from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), a past president of the Chattanooga chapter of the TSCPA, a member of the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council and Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, as well as an associate of Family Business Advisors.
