Andy joined Decosimo Corporate Finance in 1996, and has worked in both the corporate finance practice and the tax department. 

 

Andy has been involved in a wide variety of engagements including valuations of chemical and textile companies, biotechnology companies, professional practices, soft-drink bottlers, communication firms, and hotels and restaurants. Andy’s duties with the valuation practice include industry research, monitoring and analyzing case law and accounting pronouncements related to business appraisal, technical accuracy, and editing reports.

 

He passed the CPA Examination in 1999 with three out of four parts above 90, and earned the ABV designation in 2001.  Andy graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a B. S. in mathematics and a concentration in statistics. He was a five-time qualifier to the American Invitational Mathematics Examination, advancing to the USA Mathematical Olympiad three times. Andy earned the AICPA designation of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) in 2001. He is currently applying for the Accredited Member (business valuation) designation of the American Society of Appraisers.
