Decosimo Providing Small Business Tax Update in Connection with Women's Business Center of North Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA (December 22, 2011)–Becky Murphy, CPA, tax manager and Mark Pryzbysz, CPA, a senior tax accountant with Decosimo Certified Public Accountants (Decosimo), will be presenting a tax update for small businesses at the January Power! Lunch hosted by The Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) and sponsored by Diversified Business Solutions. The presentation will be held at the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce 225 Church St. on Jan. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Ms. Murphy and Mr. Przybysz serve on Decosimo’s Emerging Business Advisors team which offers comprehensive accounting, assurance, tax and advisory services to small businesses. They each serve clients across the Huntsville and Chattanooga markets.

Mr. Przybysz is a certified public accountant whose practice includes tax preparation and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships and employee benefit plans. He serves clients across several industry segments including investment partnerships, manufacturing and distribution and real estate. In conjunction with tax preparation, he also performs financial statement reviews and compilations for small businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Miami University and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mr. Przybysz is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, he serves as treasurer for Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga.

Ms. Murphy is a manager in Decosimo's Chattanooga office. She provides tax compliance and tax planning to closely held businesses and high wealth individuals. She has 28 years experience in accounting with 25 of those years concentrating in tax compliance. She practices in the areas of corporate, partnership and individual taxation. Her areas of emphasis include small business, multi-state taxation and high wealth individuals. Ms. Murphy is licensed to practice in Tennessee and holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute and the Scenic City Women's Network.
