Decosimo Partners with Dinsmore Attorneys to Offer Exit Planning Seminar and Social in Cincinnati
CINCINNATI, OH (April 28, 2011)– Decosimo Certified Public Accountants (Decosimo) and Dinsmore & Shohl LLP(Dinsmore) will be hosting a Strategize + Socialize seminar May 12 at the Kenwood Country Club on exit planning for owners of family or closely-held businesses and their advisors. The complimentary seminar from 4:00-5:00 p.m. will feature accountants and attorneys from Decosimo and Dinsmore who specialize in tax and estate planning, business advisory, valuation and investment banking. The seminar will be followed by a social until 7:00 p.m. "Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how they can maximize value when transitioning their family or closely-held business to the next generation of owners or considering a recapitalization, sale or other alternative." said Mike Gentry, a tax principal with Decosimo who will serve as moderator for the seminar. "Whether an owner hopes to transition their business to family, other key management or through a sale, they will gain valuable insights for proper transition planning." Presenters will include Decosimo accountants and business advisors Brad East and Paul Cheney, as well as Dinsmore attorneys Suzanne Land and Chris Muth. Suzanne Land, a partner practicing in Dinsmore’s Family Wealth Planning Practice Group, will address estate planning issues for business owners. As a partner with extensive corporate and transactional experience in representing publicly and privately held buyers and sellers in mergers, asset acquisitions, divestitures, stock purchase transactions and corporate finance, Chris Muth will discuss merger and acquisition law. Brad East, a certified public accountant accredited in business valuation, will focus on discounts and value drivers related to business transitions. Paul Cheney, a certified public accountant dedicated to providing corporate finance services to a large variety of publicly and privately-held businesses, will discuss the steps involved in selling a business.
