Brent McDade to Discuss Business Valuation Fundamentals at Memphis Bench Bar Conference
(April 13, 2011)–Decosimo Advisory Services Managing Director Brent McDade, ASA, CBA, BVAL, will present "Business Valuation Fundamentals: Dissolving, Divorcing and/or Distributing" at the Memphis Bar Association’s Bench Bar and Boardroom Conference in Destin, Florida, May 4-8. The presentation covers the basic areas business owners need to consider if they are contemplating an ownership transition of their business to family members, management, or a third party, as well as how to address the value of a business in an involuntary transaction such as a divorce, either of spouses, co-managers of a business, or of joint venture partners. Brent McDade is Managing Director of Decosimo Advisory Services, providing business valuation, litigation support, and transaction advisory services. His experience includes the appraisal of equity securities, debt instruments, and derivatives. He has provided expert testimony in federal and state courts regarding business valuation and economic damages. This will be the fourth time Mr. McDade has presented at the conference, which for more than 30 years has regularly attracted hundreds of attorneys and judges to learn and interact.
