CHATTANOOGA, TN— Shannon Farr, a CPA with accounting and business advisory firm Joseph Decosimo and Company, PLLC, has recently been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The ABV credential recognizes certified public accountants with extensive professional experience in business valuation.
Ms. Farr is a business valuation manager with Decosimo Advisory Services and is one of seven Decosimo professionals who have earned the ABV credential.
Ms. Farr is a licensed CPA with more than 15 years of accounting experience, including an array of business valuation and litigation support experience. Her valuation experience has been utilized in marital dissolutions, sale and purchase transactions, estate and gift tax matters, shareholder settlements and minority interest buy-outs. She provides consulting expert and expert witness litigation support services in shareholder disputes, marital dissolution and economic damages matters, as well as serving the court in the role of Special Master.
Ms. Farr graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee. She is a member of the AICPA and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. She and her husband, along with their children, live on Signal Mountain and are active members of various community organizations.
