William W. Acuff, CPE, CFE will speak to the Georgia International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP) in Atlanta, Georiga August 10, 2005. His presentation, "Is Someone Stealing From Your Company?" will address about fraudulent financial reporting, asset misappropriation and corruption.
Organizations lose each year, on average, an amount equal to six percent of their revenues to dishonesty from within. The huge cost of occupational fraud begs an obvious question: Why does it occur? In addition to discussing the causes of fraud, Bill will cover the most popular asset misappropriation and corruption schemes, their prevention and early detection.
Acuff is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with Decosimo's forensic accounting group and a Senior Manager with the auditing and accounting department with twenty-five years experience in public accounting and litigation support.
